There is nothing to be afraid of...

If you want to travel and go to festivals with kids but aren't really sure where to start, then you have come to the right place. We are a family of 3 from the South Coast of the UK travelling all over the world.

Oli and I have been together for 12 years and we have travelled to lots of different countries together and apart so travelling is in our nature.

When we had Jax is 2017 we planned to see as much of the world with him as we possibly could before he started school but like everyone else we got locked down due to the dreaded C word and really that changed everything for us.

It changed the way we thought about the world, the money we spent, how we saved it and we realised that life is worth living because in a second it could all be taken away from you.

We really want to give other families an insight into how we travel, how we save to travel, where we go and how we plan each trip. We bought our VW T6 "Fillmore" in the late spring of 2022 so you will also see some Van Life tips as well.

Ultimately we want to squash any fears others may have when travelling with children and helping families really achieve their travel dreams... because really there is nothing to be afraid of.

Bec

Hey I'm Bec and I am fully travel obsessed. Any excuse to travel, I am there. I spend most of my time day dreaming about where we can go next, planning future trips and always looking for travel hacks and bargains. I work full time at a big insurance company as a coach which is good, but ultimately this isn't where I want to be.

Jax is my biggest achievement and biggest supporter I can't do anything wrong in his eyes so he's a real mamas boy, everything we do, we do with him in mind.

To me travel is about opening your mind and your heart and being free - free to explore, try new things and to really be myself. I am happiest when I have new unexplored ground under my feet.

Once I get something in my head, I can't get rid of it, I obsess over it until it becomes a reality and that is how Fillmore (our VW T6) came to live with us forever.

Fun facts about me - I love Eminem (he has my heart), I have travelled 34 states of America where spent 2 weeks in Alaska and caught a salmon whilst fishing.

Hi I’m Oli. Since I turned 25 I’ve tried to travel as much as I can. In 2006 I spent a year driving around Australia and have never really stopped trying to get away whenever possible.

Having Jax completely changed my approach to money and spending. Without Bec driving our travel I definitely feel like, although I love it I wouldn’t be brave enough to go away as much as we do.

I really struggled during lockdown as whilst we were fortunate to still be working and earning money we were unable to spend the money doing what we both loved, travelling.

As soon as we were able to get out again I wanted to take every chance we can get to get away.

The best thing about travelling for me is exposure to different cultures, the food and meeting new people.

I’ve met some truly incredible people while travelling. Some who I only spoke to for one night but had a profound impact on me. others who have remained friends ever since.

Hopefully I’ll get to meet you somewhere around the world.

Hi i'm Jax, I am only 7 years old but I am obsessed with going on holiday (all his words). Even though I haven't been to all the countries I still like them all.

I really like going in the pool. I love school and being with my friends and I really love Pokemon and going to Pokemon club with Papa. I love going on trips in Fillmore too, she's beautiful.

When I grow up I want to be like Steve Backshall and work with Marine Animals, I really want to learn to scuba dive.
